What is superscript text?

Superscript is text raised above the normal line — the small ² in x² or the st in 1ˢᵗ. In word processors it is a formatting switch, but formatting vanishes the moment you paste into a bio or chat. This generator instead uses dedicated Unicode superscript characters, originally added for phonetics and mathematics, so the raised effect is baked into the text itself and survives pasting anywhere.

Every digit 0–9 has a true superscript form, along with +, −, =, parentheses and most lowercase letters. That is enough for exponents, ordinals, footnote markers and whole tiny sentences.

Practical uses for real superscript characters

Unicode has no superscript q, and capital coverage is partial (no C, F, Q, S, X, Y, Z). Missing letters stay normal size — lowercase phrases convert most completely.

What is a superscript generator?

It converts normal letters and numbers into Unicode superscript characters — tiny raised glyphs like ² and ᵃ. Because they are real characters rather than formatting, the raised effect survives copy and paste into bios, chats and plain-text fields.

How do I type x squared or cubed?

Type x2 or x3 into the generator and copy the superscript result: x² or x³. All ten digits plus +, −, = and parentheses have true superscript forms, so any exponent works.

Why do some capital letters not convert?

Unicode added superscript letters piecemeal for phonetics, not as a complete alphabet. Most lowercase letters exist (all except q), but several capitals were never encoded. Missing letters stay normal size.
